Axon Live Webinar
The opportunity

In 2020 the pandemic took away Axon's conferences and keynotes, but the company still had major news: new advancements in virtual reality training. After several prior collaborations, Axon asked us to produce a live webinar broadcast to make the announcement. The challenge was reaching a national audience with real production value under severe COVID constraints.

The idea

Treat the webinar as a broadcast, not a video call. We drew on Axon's sleek, sci-fi aesthetic and planned live-action shoots of the C-suite wrapped in bold, cinematic VFX that matched the futurism of what they were announcing.

My role

I led the production, from planning shoots that could happen safely under pandemic protocols through delivery of the finished live broadcast.

How it was made

We filmed Axon's C-suite executives under COVID-era production constraints, then blended the live-action footage with cinematic VFX built around the company's distinctive, dynamic branding. The visuals carried the futuristic essence of Axon's mission, and the whole thing presented as a polished live broadcast rather than another 2020 webcast.

Impact

The webinar reached the nation's top law enforcement decision-makers and communicated Axon's vision for the future of training through VR at a moment when no stage or conference floor was available. It proved the format could work under extraordinary circumstances, and it deepened a client relationship that already spanned several projects.
