Respond VR
Our relationship with Axon — the global leader in first responder technology and equipment — began in late 2019. They were preparing to announce Respond, the software ecosystem unifying their products, and wanted the announcement to be something people could stand inside rather than read about.
A volumetric video-based, real-time VR experience that dropped viewers into a high-octane demonstration of Axon's product suite in action. Fast, dynamic, and entertaining — a launch piece with a pulse.
I led the project. It was the first in what became a long-running body of work with Axon, so getting it right mattered well beyond the single deliverable.
Our production approach included creating complete digital assets of the performers, which let the material extend beyond VR. Once production wrapped, we tackled a second, less glamorous challenge: distribution — actually getting the experience into people's hands.
The final piece was both a technological and creative win — dynamic, entertaining, and aligned with Axon's identity. It opened a partnership that produced several more projects, including The Train and Taser vs. Zombies.
