The 100%

Stand Up To Cancer needed more than awareness — it needed a story people could stand inside. We found one: a rising-star ballerina diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, and her journey through it.
Tell her story in volumetric video — one of the earliest large-scale productions in the medium, and the first project filmed on Microsoft's volumetric stage — extended by a physical playbill that triggered an AR experience and a donation portal.
I led the production, secured the sponsorships that financed it — Intel, HP, and OWC — and drove a cinematic approach to a medium that hadn't had one yet.
Every capture was pre-planned, blocked, and lit for how it would be experienced in VR — an approach that changed how Microsoft lit volumetric productions afterward. We built custom post pipelines to retime, relight, and edit volumetric footage.
Emmy nomination for Innovation in Emerging Media. Best Branded VR Experience of 2019 and the Social Impact Award at the VR Awards. Premiered at Tribeca. It remains the clearest example of what I want technology to do: serve people, quietly.
