AI & Avatar Event Opening

LionTree, a merchant bank at the nexus of the world's largest technology and entertainment transactions, hosts an annual retreat that gathers industry leaders to explore trends shaping the future. I've created bespoke productions for the event since 2019, from interactive art installations to its openings. In 2023, the rapid advances in AI and avatars dominated the conversation, redefining creative workflows and technical possibilities almost by the month.

Don't talk about the technology — open the event with it. The piece would be built on AI-generated video and anchored by a volumetric capture of the firm's own CEO, reflecting the year's transformative trends while positioning LionTree at the front of them.

I led the concept and production, drawing on my team's years of expertise in 3D capture and volumetric imaging. That prior work is what made the timeline and the technique feasible.

We designed a custom AI video production pipeline tailored to LionTree's vision for the piece. In parallel, we captured the CEO using advanced volumetric technologies and integrated his likeness into a holographic setting. The two threads came together in a single presentation blending AI with straightforward storytelling.

The opening put the retreat's central theme on screen before anyone said a word about it — a dynamic, thought-provoking introduction to the days ahead. It continued the run of openings and installations we've produced for LionTree since 2019.
