Slipknot: Immersive Media for Heavy Metal Legends

In 2016, as 360 video was rapidly emerging as a transformative medium, I had already established a foothold in the space with numerous projects. It was during this pivotal time that I had the incredible opportunity to produce a series of immersive media experiences for the legendary heavy metal band, Slipknot.

The project focused on creating 360-degree video profiles of individual band members, capturing their unique personas and energy in an unprecedented way. Slipknot, fresh off a national tour, was playing a major concert in Las Vegas, which served as the perfect backdrop for this ambitious production.

To maximize the project’s reach, I brokered a distribution deal with Vrideo, one of the early leaders in the immersive video platform space. Filming on location in Las Vegas, my team captured the raw intensity and mystique of Slipknot, delivering an experience that gave fans a visceral, up-close connection to the band.

As a lifelong heavy metal fan, this project producing for Slipknot exemplified how meaningful projects can seamlessly blend professional innovation with personal passion.
