Live Avatar Capture Montage

At LionTree’s 2023 annual retreat, LiteScan, our groundbreaking avatar scanner captured the event’s spirit of connection. Reflecting the theme that while not everyone is together at the same time, we are all interconnected, LiteScan was used to individually scan each guest throughout the event, creating a unique and personal experience for all attendees.

As an immediate gift, each guest received a video of their capture, beautifully composited into stunning settings around the resort. These personalized mementos served as both a keepsake and a celebration of their participation in the event.

The highlight of the project, however, was a meticulously orchestrated montage that brought everyone together in a shared virtual space. Using 3D scans of the resort and each guest’s avatar, we created a breathtaking video that reimagined moments of togetherness that would otherwise be impossible.

This was accomplished with extraordinary speed and precision. In the weeks leading up to the event, we captured and prepared the resort’s 3D environment, pre-planning virtual camera movements and placeholder positions for guests. As individual scans were processed in real time during the event, they were seamlessly integrated into the montage. The final piece, completed within hours of the last scan, was unveiled at the event, serving as a poignant and visually stunning testament to the power of connection.
